Farewell Helena

The following are words shared by our Finance Manager, Denise, at Helena's farewell this Tuesday:

Helena,

We’ve worked together on and off for a number of years, and in that time, I’ve seen you do it all, Be strong, caring, and always making sure the job gets done.

But more than that, you care about people. You notice when someone’s struggling, you step in without being asked and somehow make it all look effortless.

You’re the kind of person who holds everything together, looks after everyone else, before yourself. Your strong when it matters, caring for others every day.

Helena doesn’t believe anyone should ever be hungry or leave her presence without being offered food. Her hospitality is legendary, her cooking could feed a small nation, and resisting is pointless—trust me, I’ve tried.

Helena, Your also famously skilled at shopping. Not just for fun—but with strategy. Bargains, gifts, essentials—you treat shopping the same way you treat work: focused, efficient, and successful. If shopping were an Olympic sport… well, you’d already have the gold medal and the receipt to prove it. I mean, Helena Who needs 4 Xmas trees? 😊

You’re stepping away now to focus on your family, and I know that decision comes from the same heart—putting others first, just like you always have. It’s not goodbye; it’s you taking on the most important role of all.

We’ll miss your warmth, your dedication, and yes, your shopping skills —but more than anything, we’ll miss your good heart. Thank you for everything you’ve given, and may your next chapter be full of love, laughter, and a little time for yourself too.
