In the grand theater of life, there are two fundamental types of games: the finite and the infinite. Picture yourself on a beach, a cricket bat in hand. The sun dances on the waves as you engage in a game of beach cricket. This, my friend, is the epitome of an infinite game. Here, winning isn't the goal; it's about the joy of playing, of continuing the game for its own sake. Everyone is invited to join, and diversity reigns supreme. It's a celebration of life in all its forms.
Now, contrast this with the intensity of Test cricket. The rules are strict, the competition fierce. Winning is paramount, and everything – including people – becomes a means to that end. Others are either allies, pawns, spectators, or competitors. It's a game of control and domination.
This was demonstrated in 3 games with each person creating their own paper plane.
In the game of life, which role do you play? Are you embracing the infinite, relishing in the joy of existence, or are you ensnared in the finite, relentlessly pursuing victory at any cost? Take a moment to reflect on the structures you operate within and consider how you can infuse them with the spirit of the infinite game.
